Arizona Red Apple Green Tea Review

By

I found Arizona's Red Apple Green Tea at my local convenience store one day, and decided, just for the heck of it, to give it a try. I had tried Vitao's apple green tea in the past and enjoyed it, but unfortunately the store no longer carried those. I bought a can of Arizona's version, hoping it was just as good.

I wasn't disappointed.

A lot of iced green teas carry along the slight bitterness that often accompanies green tea. The apple juice in this drink is sweet enough to provide a good balance for that, so that the bitterness is barely noticeable, if at all.

Most pleasantly, it doesn't taste like imitation apple juice. It actually tastes like somebody just juiced an apple and poured it into some iced green tea. It tastes natural, which is wonderfully refreshing.

A single can of this drink will provide 69.5% of your daily recommended dose of vitamin C, which is good for people who may not enjoy other drinks that contain large amounts of that vitamin, such as orange juice.

Best of all, in my opinion, is the price of this drink. At a price of 99 cents for a 695 ml can, the only thing I've found that beats this drink for value is water, and even then depending on what brand of water you get, the same amount might still end up more expensive.

The value is clear when you compare it to something like a soft drink. A lot of individual-sized soft drinks sell for around $1.69 for a 595 ml bottle. For Arizona Red Apple Iced Tea (and a lot of their other canned fruit drinks and teas) you're paying less and getting more.

If I'm lucky, sometimes I can find 595 ml bottles of store brand soda for 99 cents. But the can of Arizona drink still contains more for the same price, and is healthier to boot!

Even other similar products can't compare for value. A bottle of Vitao apple green tea contained about as much as a regular soft drink bottle, and cost more.

This product is definitely on the "more bang for your buck" list, and is one of my favourite drinks. It's cheap, but of good quality, has a smooth and refreshing taste than can be sipped or chugged, depending on what your preference is. A definitely must-buy for fans of iced green tea drinks, and those who profer a cheaper alternative to brands like Vitao.
